With more than 35 years of nonprofit leadership and organizational development experience, Kimberley Intino brings a remarkable depth of expertise to Cardinal Home Care as the Director of Operations. Her background spans program management, philanthropy, public relations, and legislation—along with a longstanding passion for advocacy.
From leading major national organizations to mentoring the next generation of professionals, Kimberley’s work has made an impact across the country. Raised by generations of strong elders, she carries a deep respect for older adults into her role, making her a compassionate and capable presence for the clients and caregivers she supports.

Kimberley Intino has been a non-profit and organizational development professional for more than 35 years. Her overall experience includes business and program management, fundraising, public relations, and legislation. Kim’s most recent executive role was as Director of Philanthropy for a non-profit group in Washington, DC. Prior to that, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Humane Society of Washington County in Maryland and Director of Shelter Services at The Humane Society of the United States.
Kim holds a Master of Science in Business Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychobiology, and certificates in Non-Profit Management from George Mason University and the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. She achieved and maintained the status of Certified Animal Welfare Administrator for 19 years through the Association for Animal Welfare Advancement.
Kim has served as adjunct faculty at the university level, developing and teaching courses on humane animal management, and has also been a freelance consultant and guest speaker for numerous animal welfare organizations and clients, both nationally and internationally. She was selected as a 2016 winner of SmartCEO’s Brava Award for Non-Profit Leaders and was featured as “Woman to Watch” in the December 2018 issue of Sass Magazine.
Kim feels fortunate to have had grandparents, their siblings, and even great-grandparents significantly involved in her upbringing, which instilled in her a deep respect and affection for all seniors. She is honored to share her compassion and leverage her skills and talents to serve the clients and caregivers of Cardinal Home Care.
